The silver nanowires (AgNWs) have a diameter of 100 nm and 20 microns in length.
They are also antibacterial.
Wearonics™ was founded in 2017 at Istanbul Technical University to produce stretchable conductive threads and wearable electronics.
Our journey began with when our founder Dr. Alper Gurarslan received a highly competitive Marie Curie Individual Fellowship funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 initiative, to develop stretchable conductive fibers and their implementation in wearable electronics (WEARONICS).
Wearonics has received funding from the European Union Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions programme. Our goal is developing wearable electronics (wearable electronics) which are washable, breathable, and comfortable. In our project we are synthesizing silver nanowires (AgNWs) and utilizing them in stretchable conductive yarns. Currently, our AgNWs are commercially available.
